Health Promotions – Dental Health Education

Our Aim To provide Dental Health support and guidance for children under the age of 5 years. Our aim is to ensure that whanau understand the importance of good dental care and the school dental service. We are also on hand to ensure that they enrol and access the dental service appropriately.

Objectives

• For whanau to access the SDS at 15 months.
• Encourage early examination with dentist.
• Peer support to 5 years.

Eligible Clients

• Tamariki from 0-5 years.
• Pregnant wahine before and after having a baby.
• Enrolled with Te Whare Hauora/Mamaru and other providers.
