Our Aim Our aim is to maximise the highest quality of life and to assist whanau to live independently and to remain in their homes by providing household management and attendant care.
To respect the rights of individuals and ensure dignity and respect is kept at all times.
Objectives
Our service provides a range of care and support which includes but are not limited to:
- Personal attendant care, which may include; dressing and undressing, personal grooming, bathing, personal hygiene, mobility and community interaction;
- Domestic management, which may include; laundry, vacuuming, dusting, bed making, meal preparation and shopping.
- Provision of an integrated, professional and central health service;
- Professional appointments may include but are not limited to: Carer support, occupational therapy, physiotherapy etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must hold a current Community Services card;
- Anyone who may have a sensory, physical or intellectual disability that is likely to continue for a minimum of six months, where support is required to assist with independent living.
Support Worker
- The allocation of the support worker is at the discretion of the Manager in consultation with the client;
- Support workers and clients are allocated geographically;
- We have a team of approximately 120 support workers.
