Kaupapa Maori Advanced Nurse Practitioner Service with Prescribing Rights

  • Mon/Tues/Wed/Friday: Based Kaitaia Te Whare Hauora clinic.
  • Thursdays: Based Whatuwhiwhi Hall - Mobile Outreach Clinic.

Our Aim

  • To support the holistic health of the individual and their whanau to obtain optimal wellbeing.
  • To promote whanau/hapu and iwi towards healthy communities.

Objectives

  • To provide a Kaupapa Maori Advanced Nursing service;
  • To work in partnership with whanau, kaumatua and kuia to deliver the best possible health service to the rohe of Te Hiku O Te Ika;
  • To provide ongoing nursing education, assessment and treatment to enhance self reliance to maintain wellness and optimum health;
  • To enhance the vision of wellness and empower whanau towards better health;
  • The service shall promote awareness and commitment to honouring the Treaty of Waitangi.

Eligible Clients

  • Whanau of all ages - infants, children, teenagers, adults, older adults.

How do I access this service?

  • Self referral/phoned appointments;
  • Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri appointments can be made by phoning Te Whare Hauora Clinic on the contact details below;
  • Thursday - walk in appointments at Whatuwhiwhi location.
