Our Aim To provide a comprehensive Tamariki Ora service to whanau, hapu and iwi. Your Tamariki Ora nurse provides well child examinations and monitors development and growth of your pepi from 6 weeks up to 5 years of age.

Objectives

• Well child checks;
• Health information;
• Immunisation information;
• Nutritional information;
• Referrals to paediatrician;
• Referrals to dental service;
• Hearing and vision;
• Referrals to general practitioner;
• Information on safe environment;
• SIDS;
• Parenting skills;
• Educational development;
• Home or clinic visits.

Eligible Clients

• Any whanau with children 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Whanau that have moved to Te Hiku O Te Ika wanting follow-up checks.
