Kohanga Whanau – Tamariki Ora
Our Aim To provide a comprehensive Tamariki Ora service to whanau, hapu and iwi. Your Tamariki Ora nurse provides well child examinations and monitors development and growth of your pepi from 6 weeks up to 5 years of age.
Objectives
- Well child checks;
- Health information;
- Immunisation information;
- Nutritional information;
- Referrals to paediatrician;
- Referrals to dental service;
- Hearing and vision;
- Referrals to general practitioner;
- Information on safe environment;
- SIDS;
- Parenting skills;
- Educational development;
- Home or clinic visits.
Eligible Clients - Any whanau with children 6 weeks to 5 years.
- Whanau that have moved to Te Hiku O Te Ika wanting follow-up checks.
