CURRENT VACANCIES Prevention Nurse Specialist Are you an experienced nurse with an interest in prevention, nutrition and pre-diabetes? Are you seeking a challenge to reignite passion in your health career? An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and innovative nurse interested in the role of Prevention Nurse Specialist within the GP clinic team at Te Hauora O Te Hiku O Te Ika. The Prevention Nurse Specialist is responsible for providing nursing care, co-ordination and continuity of care to patients who are at risk of developing diabetes and cardiovascular disease, primarily helping those diagnosed with pre-diabetes. The successful applicant will provide leadership in implementation of a new patient care delivery system and customer focused group initiatives within a Kaupapa Maori framework. Ideally you will be a Registered or Enrolled Nurse with excellent coordination, communication and problem solving skills. In addition to the generic orientation there will be a comprehensive on-site training program specific to the Prevention Nurse Specialist role in the prevention project.
